The Forest Loader Handbook is from circa 1915. This features a derrick system for loading log cars plus other uses of the derrick. 27 pages.

From 1918 we also have the Oldham Saw Works Handbook. Oldham Saw Works manufacturered band saws. This book also includes a history of the band saw and other saws. 62 pages.

Following World War 2, the United States government produced the Northeastern Loggers Handbook to encourage people to start logging operations to help in the recovery effort. This is not a book of photos of dramatic forests and wirey loggers but rather is a complete guide to the actual logging operation itself. 150 pages.
